Giving and Receiving: Shifting Power Through Trust-based Philanthropy
Seminars and Conferences
To extend the discussions coming out of the Giving and Receiving report, published in late 2020 by the Lien Centre for Social Innovation (LCSI), LCSI will be hosting an online panel discussion exploring trust-based philanthropy and how this can contribute to shifting power dynamics between funders and their recipients. This session is the fourth discussion as part of the Giving and Receiving Programme Series.
Together with Firetree Philanthropy, this session will bring together leaders from three philanthropic entities (PEs) based in Hong Kong but whose work spans different markets to discuss new trends in philanthropy that require a shift in the way funders think and operate. This diversity in perspectives contributes to the application of lessons learned in a Southeast Asian context.
