Gen Closer: Bridging Generation Gap
Monday Jun 24,2024
Gen-Closer, founded in 2021, seeks to bridge the generation gap between the youth and elderly in Singapore. Through arts-and-crafts sessions such as tote bag painting, terrarium-making, and Chinese New Year decorating, as well as day trips to destinations such as Gardens by the Bay, Gen-Closer facilitates intergenerational friendships and community building to alleviate loneliness among elders.
The What's Good in the Hood (WGITH) project aims to highlight various community projects in Singapore that helps to create a more vibrant, just, and inclusive society. The project collects stories of service done in the community, for the community and by the community with the aim to spotlight various community service models within Singapore.
