Ground Up Initiatives

Since 2017, Atiqah Aminudin (@Atiqah90 on Instagram) has worked to support migrant workers in Singapore. Starting as a Hari Raya celebration organized among friends, Atiqah’s efforts expanded to fundraising to support mosques and, now, an annual Iftar distribution during Ramadan for migrant workers living in dormitories.

The What's Good in the Hood (WGITH) project aims to highlight various community projects in Singapore that helps to create a more vibrant, just, and inclusive society. The project collects stories of service done in the community, for the community and by the community with the aim to spotlight various community service models within Singapore.
