Outdoor Sports Kakis (OSK) is a community initiative that promotes active living through inclusive engagement in outdoor sports and connections with nature. The organisation's mission is to enrich the quality of life for individuals with Special Needs through outdoor sports engagement.
Co-founders Kian and Maria, who bring diverse backgrounds in outdoors and sports as well as experience in special education, facilitate customised programmes for participating kakis with Special Needs (SN). The OSK programme aims to:
- Support individuals with Special Needs in leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
- Engage kakis in learning and enjoying outdoor sports safely.
- Promote social integration through nature-based experiences.
The What's Good in the Hood (WGITH) project aims to highlight various community projects in Singapore that helps to create a more vibrant, just, and inclusive society. The project collects stories of service done in the community, for the community and by the community with the aim to spotlight various community service models within Singapore.
