Ground Up Initiatives

Touching Hearts is a community service project started by SMU Rugby to address the lack of confidence and lack of security in the future experienced by youths. Their main aim is to connect with youths through rugby and teach confidence through the fun they have with each other. By teaching children the values of rugby, Touching Hearts has turned a group of strangers into a community of friends who can learn and grow from each other.

The What's Good in the Hood (WGITH) project aims to highlight various community projects in Singapore that helps to create a more vibrant, just, and inclusive society. The project collects stories of service done in the community, for the community and by the community with the aim to spotlight various community service models within Singapore.
